How I gained IQ points
on the importance of tough books
IQ is debated all day long. It's not known what it really is.
The term "to gain IQ points" means that you clearly see that you got smarter. Smarter by perspective change, paradigm shift, new knowledge, unique action or reaction to a novel situation etc.
One guarantee way to move forward in life (that I known) is to read. Reading is also debated: action is matters the most.
I've read a lot. I chase the "aha" moment (when you hit the eureka button). It happens spontaneously and you don't know in advance when or how (or even why).
Books sometimes give me that feeling.
Here are some of them:
The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson
The Beginning of Infinity by David Deutsch
Skin in the Game by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
Other works by Nassim Taleb
These were not the easiest read but made me smarter :)
